The Perfect Pouf Pattern
I like a pouf in every single room. They’re cozy, inviting, and great for little legs.
I’ve been redoing all my patterns, and this crochet pouf was asked about over and over again.
I get it, what’s not to love about these poufs.
It’s taken me a while to perfect this crochet pouf pattern, and I honestly think the special touch is the inner liner. So, yes you need some sewing skills or know someone that does. It gives my pouf just the right amount of firmness and it isn’t lumpy. The styrofoam beads that I use to fill the liner can be a little staticky and I really recommend using a funnel when filling your liners, or you’ll be covered in beads. Trust me, I learnt the hard way.
I also love how I can customize the pouf to complement the room’s decor and the person I’m making it for. I crochet the pouf with 2 strands of super bulky yarn and in a pinch I have used 6 strands of worsted weight yarn with great results. These are a great stash buster as you can see with my latest scrappy look pouf.
I will warn you that my grand-pups love these poufs too!!
A great option when making these for pets is to stuff the liner with cedar chips, which I purchase from my local hardware store. Another great option is that these covers are removable and washable, because you know those tiny feet or paws can get dirty.
