The end is near!
This month’s color is Eye See Ewe, a beautiful color that really gives our blanket a nice pop! What’s happening in this month’s kit?
In this month we are working with our featured color K, as well as the colors D, E, F, G and I. We crochet Stripe 17, Corner Blocks 3 & 4 as well as Side Sections 5 & 6.
My tips for Kit #11
Stripe 17 - Using Color K, we are going to work into Stripe 15, using the Iris Stitch. Such a fun stitch and not complicated at all, check out the video if you need help working this stitch. Blocked Measurements- 2 x 24”
Corner Block 3 & 4- We are working these Corner blocks as we did last month, just using different colors, easy peasy. So far I have not run out of any colors!
Blocked Measurements 5” square
Time to start assembling!
Assembly - We join the Corner Blocks 1 and 4 to the short ends of the Side Sections 2 & 4, and join Corner Blocks 2 and 3 to short ends of Side Sections 1 and 3. I chose to use the mattress stitch to join my pieces together. Refer to the schematic to see how to place your blocks.
Side Section 5 - Using Color K, beginning at the side of Corner Block 3, work the first 2 rows into the horizontal back bar, (3rd loop) Row 3 is a special stitch - Bead Stitch. Blocked Measurements 6 x 50”
Side Section 6 - Using Color K, beginning at the side of Corner Block 4, work as you did in section 5. Blocked Measurements 6 x 50”
Finishing - It’s time to weave in those ends and block your pieces to the finished measurements.
